Red Rose Chapter

The Red Rose Chapter program for 2007 will be a sampler bag made from mattress ticking overlaid with an array of different threads and surface embroidery stitches. After the embroidery is completed, various colored ¼ inch braids and ribbons are applied making a very colorful sampler bag.
Each month we will learn a new surface stitch and variations of the stitch. After the embroidery is completed, we will apply ribbons, braids and beads. The bag is then lined with silk and quilted with colonial knots. The finished bag is approximately 9 inches by 5 inches.
The initial kit will cost $5.00 and will include the ticking, threads and a chenille needle. The cost of the ribbon, braids & beads for completing the bag will be announced at a later date.
