Let’s have a lovely evening hike at Speedwell area,
about five miles with some small, gentle hills.
We’ll stop for ice cream on the way back, probably in Lititz.

Rocky Ridge Park in York.
We may see results of recent timbering too. Or impromptu.

Meet at Sheetz just north of Lititz on PA 501
at Newport Rd to work on the north half of the Conestoga Trail System.
Fight weeds and branches, rebuild erosion, and paint blazes.

in neighborhoods and on rural roads.

ICE CREAM. Don’t miss this cool fun on a warm evening.

Hike five miles with some steep climbs and descents at lovely
Kelly’s Run. We’ll especially appreciate that cool water on our
return from the Pinnacle.. Or impromptu.

Trail care on the Conestoga Trail this evening.
The trail has weeds and branches to clear, washed out
spots to rebuild, and blazes to paint all summer long.
Club tools are available at each trail maintenance outing.

Meet at the Framery’s lot in MILLERSVILLE for a 5-mile walk in our university town. From PA 741, go WEST on PA 999 for 7/10ths of a mile. After the traffic light at Herr’s and the mini-mart, use the SECOND DRIVEWAY on the LEFT to park behind THE FRAMERY. |

Great plan: a BARBEQUE SUPPER STOP midway on tonight’s hike as well as a chance for ice cream. Hike about 5 easy miles up and back along the west bank of the Susquehanna River and stop at The Broken Oar Bar for barbeque, which we eat at their outdoor area. French Creek State Park. Great view of the forest floor!

Twin Kiss at 1550 Mount Wilson Rd, Colebrook (Mt Gretna) for 4-5 miles
walking the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. Let’s have ice cream at the Twin Kiss
before returning home.
From PA 72, take PA 283 West for 16.1 mi.
Take Hershey exit toward Hershey 7/10 mi. Right on Beverly Rd for 7/10 mi.
Right on Koser Rd 3/10 mi. Slight Left at Mt Gretna Rd 5.7 mi.

We’ll hike 5 easy miles in Lititz with the perfect ice cream stop at the
new Freeze n Friz. >> To carpool from North West End Av at Buchanan Av,
take PA 501 NORTH to Lititz, turn WEST on ORANGE St (PA 772) for 1/4 mi,
and turn RIGHT in the first High School lot at the tennis courts.
No carpool leader, so bring these directions to the 6 p.m.

Hat and extra water are in order because part of the trail is not shady.

Over 60 miles long, half of those off-road, means the trail has weeds and branches to clear, washed out spots to rebuild, and blazes to paint all summer long. If you have a favorite tool, you may bring it to use. Otherwise, the club tools are available at each trail maintenance outing. Walk 5 easy miles near Landis Valley Farm Museum.
Meet in museum parking lot. From US 30 take PA 272 north nearly 2 miles.
Left on Landis Valley Rd about 2/10 mi, and first right to parking.
For our safety, please bring flashlights and wear reflectors or white.
