Sponsored by Presbyterian Women of Cedar Grove
Each year, the women of Cedar Grove hold a retreat. Although it is sponsored by the Presbyterian Women Organization, it is open to all women of the church, their family, and friends. This usually occurs in the spring, and for the last several years it has been held at Black Rock Retreat in Quarryville PA. However, next year, we will be moving to St. Mary of Providence Retreat Center in Elverson PA. This is much closer to the church, and the accommodations are both lovely and reasonable.
This year’s women’s retreat "In the hands of the Potter," presented by Jane deFord found more than 20 us gathered for a mountaintop experience that reached into our human depths and lifted us to spiritual heights. During our time there, we learned about being broken and allowing the Potter to heal us through His word, prayer, and the love of Christ that He shows us through each other. We completed a variety of craft projects that allowed us to use our hands to experience both our own broken-ness and His healing touch. Top that off with Edie’s rendition of "In a cabin in the wood," and you’ve got a weekend to write home about. Won’t you join us next year?
